Twin Oak

Tax-Efficient ETF Investing

Although Twin Oak ETF Company was established in 2023, the origins of our name date back over 60 years to Illinois, where Sydney Wolfe, Zach’s great-grandfather, built the family farm. This shared heritage instills the team at Twin Oak with a passion for carrying on the legacy of those who came before us. Our work is deeply rooted in supporting clients across generations, a value that is embedded in Twin Oak’s DNA from our name to our business practices.

Zach Wainwright, Found & CEO Twin Oak ETF Company

Zach Wainwright

Founder & CEO
Zach Wainwright set out to found Twin Oak ETF Company with a singular focus of delivering innovative, institutional quality, tax-efficient solutions to high-net-worth clients.

Throughout his prestigious investment career, he consistently observed that taxable clients were not receiving the level of attention necessary to maximize the potential of their public equity portfolios and saw unnecessary tax drag on their investments as a result.

Zach’s passion for tax-efficient investing began as an Equity Analyst at Wellington Management and was honed as a Manager at a large single-family office based in Houston. His passion for creative financial solutions began in 2011 while working at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was charged with unwinding complex non-core assets and multi-asset derivative structuring for the bank.

Prior to Twin Oak, Zach advised large single-family offices on investment opportunities including how to narrow the gap between pre-tax and post-tax investment returns. He has invested billions of dollars on behalf of clients of all sizes in both the taxable and non-taxable world across public and private markets.

Zach holds a Master’s Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with High Distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is an active member of the Boston community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston (CJP) and The Vilna, Boston’s Center for Downtown Jewish Culture.
